Edge of the Pariah
Bryce Canyon, Utah.
Sunrise in Bryce Canyon. An exploration for a different viewpoint to watch the show on the ampitheater (vs above it) led me to a small spit of land with dizzying cliffs on three sides. High on the Paunsaugunt Plateau, I waited, staring into the Paria Valley far below, still deep in shadow. The skeleton of a Limber Pine rose from below the cliff edge, silouhetted on the eastern sky.
