North Branch, Adirondacks.
Big Moose Lake produces the North Branch of the Moose River. Water running the gradient to here has built up a lot of speed, even in this lower summer flow. I came up here in a window between storm systems to do a shoot, and for once the forecast was correct. As I left Big Moose Lake, clouds were moving in, but enough blue sky showed through the gaps to illuminate the forest softly, versus the harsh light of a cloudless day.
